Anne & Scott Baxter bought the premises in 2002
and have been refurbishing the rooms & restaurant culminating in many awards.
Including the Scottish new restaurant of the year award (Runner Up) 2002.
AA Rosette award
The AA's Rosette Award scheme
assesses restaurants for the quality of their food.
Annual awards, on a rising scale of one to five, are made solely on the basis of meal
visits by the AA's highly trained inspectors.
Rissons has been awarded a Rosette award every year since 2002. Meaning: "Chefs [Scott] should display
a mastery of basic techniques and be able to
produce dishes of sound quality and clarity
of flavours, using good, fresh ingredients" - The AA (How we rate our restaurants)
3 AA Red Diamonds
Rissons have been awarded three AA Red Diamonds which places our rooms in the top 10%
in Britain at this level.
3 Stars from the Scottish Tourist Board
We also have been awarded 3 Stars from the Scottish Tourist Board.
